{"id":33409,"date":"2018-03-05T13:51:00","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T21:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/two-people-displaced-in-kent-house-fire\/"},"modified":"2018-03-05T13:54:29","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T21:54:29","slug":"two-people-displaced-in-kent-house-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/two-people-displaced-in-kent-house-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Two people displaced in Kent house fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two people were displaced following a house fire Monday morning in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/11000+SE+204th+St,+Kent,+WA+98031\/@47.4197082,-122.1964897,660m\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x54905db4ff1ae033:0x10368fcd1c599c66!8m2!3d47.4197082!4d-122.194301\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\">11000 block<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/11000+SE+204th+St,+Kent,+WA+98031\/@47.4197082,-122.1964897,660m\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x54905db4ff1ae033:0x10368fcd1c599c66!8m2!3d47.4197082!4d-122.194301\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\"> of Southeast 204th <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/11000+SE+204th+St,+Kent,+WA+98031\/@47.4197082,-122.1964897,660m\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x54905db4ff1ae033:0x10368fcd1c599c66!8m2!3d47.4197082!4d-122.194301\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\">Street<\/a> in Kent&rsquo;s Panther Lake area.<\/p>\n<p>The first 911 calls were received at 9:15 a.m., reporting smoke and flames inside the home, according to a Puget Sound Fire news release.<\/p>\n<p>When firefighters arrived from the Puget Sound and Renton RFAs, they found that the entire front of the single-story house was on fire with smoke coming from the other three sides as well.<\/p>\n<p>Early reports that no one was in the house were confirmed when the occupants were accounted for, though one occupant was sent to a local hospital for an undisclosed issue. Red Cross will assist the occupants.<\/p>\n<p>The fire was initially fought &ldquo;defensively,&rdquo; or from the outside, due to dangers of building collapse and the knowledge that no one was inside.
