Kent Mayor Dana Ralph will give her first State of the City address on Thursday, April 26, in the Kent City Council Chambers, 220 Fourth Ave. S.<\/p>\n

The event will start with a reception at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall lobby, followed by the address at 7 p.m. Ralph expects to speak for about an hour.<\/p>\n

Ralph, elected by voters in November, replaced Suzette Cooke who served 12 years in office but decided not to run for a fourth term. Cooke held most of her most recent State of the City addresses at the city-owned accesso ShoWare Center during a Kent Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
