{"id":33205,"date":"2018-02-22T13:30:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-22T21:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/snow-frosting\/"},"modified":"2018-02-22T15:11:07","modified_gmt":"2018-02-22T23:11:07","slug":"snow-frosting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/snow-frosting\/","title":{"rendered":"Snow frosting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A winter blanket of snow covered the Puget Sound region Thursday morning, making roadways treacherous, delaying and closing schools and providing an inviting playground for families and children.<\/p>\n<p>Up to 6 inches of snow fell overnight in some lowland areas, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn, Kent and other cities reported receiving 2 or more inches of snow.<\/p>\n<p>The snow and freezing temperatures caused problems on roadways.<\/p>\n<p>A seven-car accident involving 10 people occurred at Highway 18 and southbound Interstate 5 near Federal Way on Wednesday night, according to South King Fire.
