The Department of Justice&rsquo;s reckless actions threaten the safety of our communities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&ldquo;Just as we always follow the law, King County will always be a safe, welcoming place for all people.&rdquo;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The letter from the DOJ was sent to McDermott&rsquo;s office and arrived Wednesday, according to a county news release.
