The Kent Evening Toastmasters invites the public to its free open house on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m., at the Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave. N., Kent.<\/p>\n
The meeting features guest speaker David Hablewitz, , an IT systems project manager who will discuss the importance of communication skills for today’s professional.<\/p>\n
Valerie Ensor, a distinguished Kent Evening Toastmasters member, will deliver a prepared speech sharing how the club’s program can empower members to gain greater self-confidence through improved communication and leadership skills. Member Jeff Thungc will deliver a speech on the topic of transforming your life into the new year.<\/p>\n
In addition, members and guests will participate in impromptu speaking and peer evaluation.<\/p>\n
“Kent Evening Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” said Mike Christensen, CC Club president for KET.<\/p>\n
Light appetizers and refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n
