Kent City Attorney Tom Brubaker recently received a lifetime achievement award from the Washington Association of Municipal Attorneys.<\/p>\n
Brubaker, who joined Kent in 1990 and has worked as the city attorney since 2002, received the Earnest Campbell Award for Excellence in Municipal Law at the group’s conference Oct. 11-13 at Suncadia Lodge in Cle Elum.<\/p>\n
This lifetime achievement award is the highest honor given by the association. Brubaker received the award for his 27 years of experience as a municipal attorney, presenting at least 16 subjects at state conferences, his service as immediate past president of the association, working on legislative matters that benefit all Washington cities and teaching municipal law at Seattle University School of Law.<\/p>\n
Brubaker, who earned his law degree at Seattle University in 1989, served as assistant city attorney for 12 years until being appointed as city attorney by then-mayor Jim White.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
