{"id":30789,"date":"2017-10-05T14:42:00","date_gmt":"2017-10-05T21:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/king-county-voter-registration-deadline-oct-9-for-general-election\/"},"modified":"2017-10-05T14:42:00","modified_gmt":"2017-10-05T21:42:00","slug":"king-county-voter-registration-deadline-oct-9-for-general-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/king-county-voter-registration-deadline-oct-9-for-general-election\/","title":{"rendered":"King County voter registration deadline Oct. 9 for general election"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Citizens who want to vote in the Nov. 7 general election have until Monday, Oct. 9 to register to vote or update voter registration information online or by mail.<\/p>\n<p>King County Elections will mail general election ballots to all registered voters on Oct. 18, so it&rsquo;s important that citizens register to vote and keep their address and other information, including their signature, updated.<\/p>\n<p>Voters can check to make sure their registration information is current by going to <a href=\"https:\/\/info.kingcounty.gov\/kcelections\/vote\/myvoterinfo.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"my voter\">Using My Voter Information online<\/a> or calling the Voter Hotline at 206-296-VOTE (8683).<\/p>\n<p>The easiest way to register to vote is online at <a href=\"https:\/\/weiapplets.sos.wa.gov\/MyVoteOLVR\/MyVoteOLVR\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"register\">My Vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Voters who miss the Oct. 9 deadline to update their registration should still contact the Elections office to update their information for future elections.
