{"id":30662,"date":"2017-09-27T13:35:00","date_gmt":"2017-09-27T20:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-rjc-inmate-dies-at-valley-medical-center\/"},"modified":"2017-09-27T13:35:00","modified_gmt":"2017-09-27T20:35:00","slug":"kent-rjc-inmate-dies-at-valley-medical-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-rjc-inmate-dies-at-valley-medical-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent RJC inmate dies at Valley Medical Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 43-year-old male inmate at the King County jail who had been seen by Maleng Regional Justice Center staff and Kent EMTs for a medical condition, died early Tuesday morning at Valley Medical Center in Renton.<\/p>\n<p>The man was booked at the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle by the state Department of Corrections for a community custody violation on Sept. 21, according to a news release from the county Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention. He was later transferred to the RJC county jail in Kent.<\/p>\n<p>The King County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office will conduct a review to determine the cause and manner of death.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the standard review process for jail-related deaths, the Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention will work with Public Health&#8211;Seattle &#038; King County to conduct an investigation.
