Rainier Youth Choirs is seeking experienced high school tenors and basses with music reading skills to join its Young Men’s Ensemble, directed by Brian Hoskins.<\/p>\n

Known for their high level of performance excellence, the men also perform with the Young Women’s Ensemble on a wide variety of music, including contemporary, world music, masterworks and folk songs.<\/p>\n

The groups rehearse at 6:50 to 8:30 p.m.Mondays in Covington.<\/p>\n

Vocina, RYC’s second- and third-grade choir, offers children the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop their singing voices and musical ears. A joyful exploration of songs and music activities and games prepares the children to perform with confidence and commitment.<\/p>\n

Rehearsals are in Covington on Mondays or at Kent Elementary on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

A few openings remain for Bella Voce, a training choir for grades 4 and up, no experience necessary, and for Colla Voce, experienced singers with basic music reading skills for grades 6 and up. Both meet Mondays in Covington, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.<\/p>\n

Season 11, “No Limits,” runs Sept. 11 through May.<\/p>\n
