Input from residents will help shape the look and feel of new stations near Kent-Des Moines Road and Pacific Highway South in Kent; South 272nd Street and Interstate 5 in Kent; and the Federal Way Transit Center.<\/p>\n<p>At the open houses, people can have questions answered by the project team and provide input about the character of all three stations. Light rail is scheduled to begin service to Federal Way in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Sound Transit also has an online survey for input about the stations at <a href=\"https:\/\/federalwaylink.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"link\">federalwaylink.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The open houses are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Federal Way Community Center, 876 S. 333rd St.; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Highline College Building 2, 2400 S. 240th St., in Des Moines.<\/p>\n<p>The 7.8-mile Federal Way Link extension will extend south from the Angle Lake Station in SeaTac, cross State Route 99, continue along the south edge of the future SR 509 highway to Interstate 5, and travel south along the west side of I-5.<\/p>\n<p>At Kent-Des Moines Road, the route will transition west and the station area will be located near Highline College between Highway 99 and 30th Avenue South.<\/p>\n<p>The alignment will then transition back to I-5 and continue south along the west side of I-5 to the Star Lake Park and Ride at South 272nd Street.
