Kent Station will host an afternoon of furry fun dedicated to pets, owners and animal lovers alike from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5.

Hundreds of adoptable cats and dogs will be on site with Reber Ranch, Pet Central and Regional Animal Services of King County in partnership with animal shelters and rescue organizations. If you are looking for a new best friend or an addition to your family, come to Dog Daze and Feline Fantasies at Kent Station and adopt a pet and license them all in one stop.

Pets and their owners, or future pet parents will enjoy:

• Raffles and samples

• Kent Police K-9 demonstration at noon

• Pet product vendors

• Pet-friendly happy hour patios

All pets in Kent, whether outdoor or indoor, are required by law to be licensed. With the funds raised from pet licenses, Kent partners with Regional Animal Services of King County to conduct animal cruelty investigations, operate animal shelters, provide resources to address vicious animal complaints and care for injured or lost animals.

Last year, more than 7,000 animals were taken in and cared for by King County. Most annual licenses cost $30. Buy licenses in advance at KentPetLicense.com.
