The King Conservation District presents a free community workshop on Beautifying & Caring for Your Waterfront Property for homeowners living on streams, lakes and wetlands. The program is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at the Kent Library, 212 2nd Ave N.<\/p>\n
Restoration experts will lead the class and cover such topics as: minimizing pollution runoff on your property; controlling invasive weeds; utilizing native plants for wildlife habitat and erosion control; adding value and beauty to your yard naturally; and learning about environmental regulations that impact your property.<\/p>\n
The workshop is for anyone looking for information or assistance in managing their property to enjoy their waterfront while protecting the environment.<\/p>\n
Light refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n
