PGA pro Derek Berg of Sahalee Country Club of Sammamish took a one-shot lead after the second round of the Muckleshoot Casino Washington Open Invitational Tuesday at Meridian Valley.<\/p>\n
Berg shot a round of 69 after opening with a 70 on the par-72 course. He is two shots in front of PGA pro Shane Prante of Lake Spanaway GC (Tacoma). PGA Pro Ryan Benzel of Sahalee CC and amateur Aaron Whalen of Lakeview G&CC (Soap Lake) are tied for third place in at 143.<\/p>\n
Berg is no stranger to the winner’s circle. He has previously won the Northwest Open Invitational twice and the Oregon Open Invitational once as well.<\/p>\n
The final round is Wednesday.<\/p>\n
