The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) recognized Harsimran Singh, a senior from Kentwood High School, as one of its Athletes of the Week for his achievements in track and field.<\/p>\n
Singh captured the 1,600-meter (4:29.74 minutes) and 800 (2:00.58) and was second in the 3,200 (10:25.16) at the Kent All-City Meet last week.<\/p>\n
A community member nominated Singh for the honor.<\/p>\n
Each Athlete of the Week winner receives a congratulatory letter from WIAA Executive Director Mike Colbrese; a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week T-shirt; and a certificate.
