Pie Lab in Kent competes in the American Pie Council’s National Pie Championships in Orlando, Fla., May 5-6.<\/p>\n
The East Hill bakery’s entries in the competition include, peach bourbon, Mexican hot chocolate and lemon sour cream.<\/p>\n
Head baker Natalie Lawyer and manager chef Marie Price will attend the championships, entering their own personal creations.<\/p>\n
Pie Lab opened in August 2015 at 12966 SE Kent Kangley and has since developed a strong customer base and fan following. All products are made from scratch by hand, starting from owner\/founder Susan Fergason’s mother, Dora’s pie crust recipe.<\/p>\n
