Ron Belanger passed away on April 4, 2017 at Confluence Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington following complications from a stroke and pneumonia.

Ron and his twin brother Don were born February 2, 1928 in Superior, Wisconsin to Marion and Frank Belanger. They joined an older brother, Dick, and two half sisters, Burnice and Eileen, who promptly became second moms to the twins. In 1951, Ron was drafted into the Army and served as a photo lab technician with the Military Intelligence Detachment in Berlin, Germany. While there, he purchased a professional Linhof camera and took many exceptional photos, a hobby begun much earlier and enjoyed into the digital age.

Upon his return stateside, he married Rose Hoffmockel and eventually moved to Maple Valley, Washington where their two sons, Jim and Jeff, were raised. Ron was a graduate of Central Washington State College and taught Industrial Arts until opening his Kent Driving School where he met his second wife, Martine Conwell. Ron became affectionately known as Mr. B to her three children, Regine, Glenn and Colin Adams.

In 1995, Ron retired as a Quality Assurance Inspector after more than twenty years at Boeing.

In his later years, Ron experienced significant medical setbacks, but with a quiet acceptance, remained persistent and independent in spirit. He retained an interest in national and world events, in computer bookkeeping and in playing solitaire and pinochle. He enjoyed family gatherings and child-sitting his two local granddaughters.

Ron is survived by many immediate and extended family.
