Bestselling author J.A. Jance is the special guest at the Renton and Kent-Covington Soroptimist clubs’ spring brunch Sunday, April 23 at Meridian Valley Country Club, 24830 136th Ave. SE, Kent.<\/p>\n
Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
Fans can savor “insider” tales of Jane’s popular book series, spotlighting Seattle homicide detective J.P. Beaumont – Beau to his friends – who became suddenly rich in a wicked plot twist and now looks over the waterfront from a penthouse High in Belltown Terrace. And Cochise County Sheriff Joanna Brady, who lives on High Lonesome Ranch near Bisbee, Ariz. Duty calls Brady from the desert to the Chiricahua Mountains.<\/p>\n
Jance is on tour to promote “Man Overboard”, the latest book in her Ali Reynolds series. Reynolds, a former Los Angeles news anchor, turned to solving mysteries in this suspense series. Jance, who grew up in Bisbee, lives with her husband in Seattle and Tucson, Ariz.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from the event support Live Your Dream Awards and other programs to improve the lives of women and girls – locally and around the globe. Two women will be presented with the 2017 Live Your Dream education and training award.<\/p>\n
Books will be sold and signed, and a jewelry sale will be available. A brunch of steak, eggs, fruit and muffins will be served. Cost is $35. The event is open to all ages.<\/p>\n
