Apparently I am one of the few in America who has not seen the latest Indiana Jones movie.

But who needs the theatre when we have Semaj Booker in our midst? For the uninformed, Semaj Booker is the 10-year-old Houdini who has a burning desire to live in Texas, and as such has snuck on two flights at Sea-Tac airport last year.

During that time he also stole a neighbor’s car and led police in a high speed pursuit along Highway 512. And just last week he was busted trying to sneak on a third flight to Sacramento, trying to make his way to Texas.

How is this kid making security at Sea-Tac International an unfunny joke?

Yes, this time he was caught and will be reprimanded. But does it make anyone feel safer that a 10-year-old kid with no boarding pass and no I.D. waltzes onto two flights?

We need to make our airports at least as secure as our casinos. You can’t even do math in your head in a casino without being shown the door. If you are under 18 and gambling in a casino you will be escorted out so fast you’re feet won’t even touch the floor.

Still, this young boy slides through unnoticed, and makes the TSA look like mall security.

The last time I flew anywhere I was asked to show my I.D. three times. I also was asked if I packed my own bag.

Next time at the airport I’ll think I’ll respond with “No, Semaj Booker packed my bags.”

There is a federal law that prohibits joking around when at the airport. Anything you say may be considered a threat to national security.

Well, there is a joke going on at TSA, but the joke’s on them and guess what? It isn’t the least bit amusing.
