Local high school basketball players will take part in the 2017 Puget Sound Throwdown All-Area Games on Saturday, April 8, at Highline<\/p>\n
Community College in Des Moines.<\/p>\n
This is the first game to bring together the top boys and girls basketball players from the greater-Tacoma and the greater-Seattle areas, according to event organizers.<\/p>\n
There will be a three-point shooting contest at half time of the girls game and a dunk contest at half time of the boys game.<\/p>\n
The girls game begins at 2 p.m., followed by the boys game at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
Doors open at 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per adult and $7 for senior citizens and students. Children 10 and under enter for free, and W.S.C.A. coaches get in free with a W.S.C.A.<\/p>\n
