Last Saturday afternoon, Shirzai’s training paid off in capturing a 130-pound novice class bout against Tacoma Boxing Club’s Alex Sanchez.

The bout was part of Bumble Bee Boxing’s “Sting In” program supported by Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission and its Youth Resource Center in Seattle.

Kent East Hill Boxing has members of diverse backgrounds working together to better their skills. The club operates in partnership with the Kent Parks and Recreation Department and Kent School District.
