KIRA MILLER, Kent-Meridian<\/b><\/p>\n

Grade: Senior.<\/p>\n

Sport: Volleyball.<\/p>\n

Accomplishment: Miller pounded out 12 kills in a three-game sweep of Kentlake (25-15, 25-17, 25-15).<\/p>\n

Favorite class: IB English.<\/p>\n

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Maya Angelou to dinner. I saw her speak once and she\u2019s an extremely influential individual. I look up to her and respect her so much. I would serve chili and rice – delicious comfort food.<\/p>\n

Greatest athletic moment: Last year\u2019s volleyball season. I was on the JV team and we went undefeated.<\/p>\n

Favorite book: \u201cThe Color Purple\u201d by Alice Walker.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s on your iPod?: Bruno Mars, All Time Low, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Skillet.<\/p>\n

Also noted: Miller is an IB diploma candidate, and part of National Honor Society. She sports a 3.955 grade-point average and wants to study biology or English in college, and eventually go into pediatrics. She dreams of attending Stanford.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

LAURA RAYFIELD, Kentlake<\/b><\/p>\n

Grade: Junior.<\/p>\n

Sport: Soccer.<\/p>\n

Accomplishment: Rayfield scored four goals in one game, leading the Falcons past Kent-Meridian, 10-0.<\/p>\n

Favorite class: Does lunch count?<\/p>\n

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Tre Songz and we would have chocolate fondue.<\/p>\n

Greatest athletic moment: Beating Kentwood.<\/p>\n

Favorite movie: Either \u201cThe Hangover\u201d or \u201cZombieland.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s on your iPod?: \u201cToot it and boot it\u201d by YG.<\/p>\n

Most recent book read: Teen Vogue (August edition).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

PAUL LENNICK, Kentwood<\/b><\/p>\n

Grade: Junior.<\/p>\n

Sport: Tennis.<\/p>\n

Accomplishment: Lennick delivered a strong comeback in No. 1 singles, upending Jim Leeds of Mount Rainier 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. Lennick\u2019s victory helped the Conks knock off the Rams, 3-2.<\/p>\n

Favorite class: IB English. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: LeBron James, and I would serve chicken Alfredo.<\/p>\n

Greatest athletic moment: Winning when the whole team is counting on you.<\/p>\n

Most recent book read\/author: \u201cTaming of the Shrew\u201d by William Shakespeare.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s on your iPod?: \u201cGot Your Back\u201d by TI.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

ERIN CAMPBELL, Kentwood<\/b><\/p>\n

Grade: Senior.<\/p>\n

Sport: Volleyball.<\/p>\n

Accomplishment: Campbell racked up 16 kills in a four-game (25-19, 25-14, 26-28, 25-14) win over Kentridge.<\/p>\n

Favorite class: Calculus AB.<\/p>\n

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (volleyball star) Crystal Morrison to dinner, and I\u2019d serve fillet mignon and mashed potatoes. We\u2019d be talking about volleyball, of course.<\/p>\n

Greatest athletic moment: My greatest athletic moment would be making it to nationals last year with my club team, KSVBC.<\/p>\n

Most recent book read\/author: \u201cHow to read literature like a professor\u201d by Thomas C. Foster.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s on your iPod?: \u201cHeartache tonight\u201d by Michael Buble, \u201cWinner\u201d by Jamie Foxx and \u201cWitchcraft\u201d by Frank Sinatra.<\/p>\n

RORY JENS, Kent-Meridian<\/b><\/p>\n

Grade: Senior.<\/p>\n

Sport: Tennis.<\/p>\n

Accomplishment: Jens defeated Mount Rainier\u2019s Jim Leeds 6-4, 6-2 in No. 1 singles, lifting the Royals past the Rams in an SPSL North Division match. The win helped K-M secure a 3-2 team victory. Favorite class: IB Calculus.<\/p>\n

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: If I could invite anyone to dinner, I would invite Jon Stewart. In my opinion, he is the funniest and wittiest person in America. I would serve shrimp and baklava, because they are my favorite foods.<\/p>\n

Greatest athletic moment: Winning my first high school doubles match against Tahoma after three long sets.<\/p>\n
