Lola Jones, 5, of Kent, dresses as Madam C.J. Walker, a civil rights activist, philanthropist and entrepreneur (1867–1919), during an appearance on Tuesday night at the Kent City Council meeting at City Hall.<\/p>\n
Mayor Suzette Cooke invited Jones and her mother Cristi Jones to the meeting after hearing about how Lola dressed as a different notable black woman each day of February to help celebrate Black History Month by recreating iconic photos.<\/p>\n
