Councilwoman Dana Ralph also is running for mayor. Suzette Cooke decided not to seek a fourth, four-year term as mayor. Her terms ends Dec. 31.<\/p>\n<p>The kickoff for Berrios will feature saxophonist Darren Motamedy. Berrios, whose council terms ends this year, owns the Golden Steer restaurant, 23826 104th Ave. SE.<\/p>\n<p>Berrios asks that people planning to attend the campaign kickoff should RSVP to joshsdad@comcast.net or call 253-350-1811.<\/p>\n<p>Kent&rsquo;s mayor is a full-time position and pays $144,996 per year. Council members are part-time positions and pay $14,808 per year.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates for mayor and council must file May 15-19 with King County Elections. If more than two candidates file for a position, they will be on the Aug. 1 primary ballot.
