Two national publications again honored Western Governors University (WGU) for helping meet the educational needs of the nation’s armed forces community.

Military Advanced Education & Transition named WGU a Top School for the 10th straight year. Victory Media also recognized the online, nonprofit university as a Military Friendly institution for the sixth consecutive year. Those honors acknowledge WGU’s proven ability to deliver accredited degree programs to service members and their families via a flexible and accessible learning model.

Headquartered in Kent, WGU Washington is the state-based affiliate of WGU with an annual enrollment of approximately 10,000. Nearly 1,000 of the university’s students – about 10 percent – are active-duty military personnel, dependent family members, or veterans.
