{"id":26639,"date":"2017-02-20T13:30:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T21:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/parked-semi-truck-ignites-house-fire-in-kent\/"},"modified":"2017-02-20T15:00:24","modified_gmt":"2017-02-20T23:00:24","slug":"parked-semi-truck-ignites-house-fire-in-kent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/parked-semi-truck-ignites-house-fire-in-kent\/","title":{"rendered":"Parked semi-truck ignites house fire in Kent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A mechanical failure in a semi-truck parked in front of a house led to a fire in the semi that extended into the home late Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters from Puget Sound Fire and several other departments responded shortly after 11 p.m. to the 27100 block of 41 Avenue South after several neighbors reported a truck on fire.<\/p>\n<p>When the first units arrived, they found the semi-truck fully engulfed in flames and fire igniting combustibles in the garage of the two-story home. Firefighters worked for approximately one hour to fully extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n<p>No one was found in the home during two searches.
