I am 58 years old and have been voting since President Ford was in office. Our new president&rsquo;s words and actions against immigrants are in opposition to my personal values and the diverse reality that is our Kent.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of the people who provide value, meaning and purpose to my life are immigrants. For example: two of my three doctors. Pharmacists, librarians, bus drivers, grocery workers. I could go on, but you know what I&rsquo;m saying.<\/p>\n<p>The current (un)reality of hate, prejudice and hostile acts must stop now. Michelle Obama was ridiculed for saying she was finally proud to be an American.
