The Everett Silvertips snapped the Seattle Thunderbirds’ six-game winning streak, pulling out a 1-0 victory in a Western Hockey League game Friday night at Xfinity Arena in Everett.<\/p>\n
Orrin Centazzo scored the only goal for Everett (29-6-7-1) on the power-play at 9:14 of the first period. Patrick Bajkov and Kevin Davis had the assists.<\/p>\n
Seattle (24-15-3-1) looked to have tied the game 1-1 at 10:57 of the third period on a goal from Luke Ormsby. The red goal light came on and the T-Birds celebrated, but the referees waived off the goal.<\/p>\n
The T-Birds upped the pressure in the third period and outshot the ‘Tips 16-4 with several good scoring chances. Everett goalie Carter Hart made several very good saves, including denying Ryan Gropp from the slot in the closing seconds. Hart finished the game with 33 saves.<\/p>\n
Seattle goalie Rylan Toth made 13 saves on 14 shots. Toth’s record is now 20-15-1-0.<\/p>\n
