A 22.2 percent drop in total inventory contributed to the price boost, according to numbers compiled by Redfin, a Seattle-based real estate company. The median home price was $250,000.

Sales were down 12.3 percent with 100 homes sold. Homes sold 11.4 percent slower, spending an average of 39 days on the market.
