{"id":25399,"date":"2016-12-16T14:53:00","date_gmt":"2016-12-16T22:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/severe-weather-shelter-to-open-in-kent-friday-night\/"},"modified":"2016-12-16T15:06:47","modified_gmt":"2016-12-16T23:06:47","slug":"severe-weather-shelter-to-open-in-kent-friday-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/severe-weather-shelter-to-open-in-kent-friday-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Severe weather shelter to open in Kent Friday night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In response to cold weather conditions, the city of Kent is activating a severe weather shelter on Friday night, Dec. 16, at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 Second Ave. S.<\/p>\n<p>Operated by Catholic Community Services staff and volunteers from Kent Lutheran Church, the shelter will open at 9 p.m. for check-in and registration and close at 7 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Priority is given to homeless families with children living on the streets or in vehicles, but is also available for single women and men.
