{"id":2522,"date":"2015-06-10T17:05:09","date_gmt":"2015-06-11T00:05:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kentridge-students-receive-national-merit-boeing-scholarship\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T02:35:29","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T09:35:29","slug":"kentridge-students-receive-national-merit-boeing-scholarship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kentridge-students-receive-national-merit-boeing-scholarship\/","title":{"rendered":"Kentridge students receive National Merit Boeing Scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong>For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Two students from Kentridge High School were among winners announced by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to receive scholarships in the 60th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kelson Kaiser and Raymond Tat both received the National Merit Boeing Scholarship, a corporate-sponsored merit scholarship for children of Boeing employees.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kaiser and Tat were named National Merit Finalists earlier this year and represent less than 1 percent of the nation&#8217;s seniors based on PSAT scores.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kaiser plans to attend the University of Washington and major in electrical engineering.
