The Kent Police Department and Target hosted a Heroes & Helpers event on Saturday to help children from Kent Youth and Family Services purchase holiday gifts for their families.<\/p>\n
During the in-store shopping event, the children were paired with officers and staff who helped pick out gifts.<\/p>\n
“Participating in this event provides the Kent Police with a great opportunity to share in a wonderful event centered on Kent youth. Just seeing these kids smile means the most,” said Kent Police spokesman Jarod Kasner.<\/p>\n
As part of Target’s commitment to the community it has developed extensive public safety partnerships that help support the safety and security of neighborhoods where their guests and team members live and work.
