The Auburn Symphony Orchestra presents The Joy of the Holidays, featuring holiday classics like The Nutcracker and March of the Toys, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the Auburn Performing Arts Center, 702 Fourth St. NE.<\/p>\n
Michael Miropolsky will serve as guest conductor and state Sen. Joe Fain, R-Auburn (47th District), is a special guest, performing as the narrator of the symphonic “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. Fain is a strong supporter of the Auburn arts community.<\/p>\n
Miropolsky serves as music director of the Cascade Symphony Orchestra and conductor of the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n
ASO will perform a repertoire that includes Tchaikovsky selections from The Nutcracker; Prokofiev’s Midnight Waltz from “Cinderella”; and Herbert’s March of the Toys from “Babes in Toyland”.<\/p>\n
Reserved seats are $35 general admission, $28 for seniors and $10 for students.<\/p>\n
