The Everett Silvertips silenced the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-0 in a Western Hockey League game Wednesday night at the Xfinity Arena in Everett.<\/p>\n
The T-Birds travel to Kennewick to play the Tri-City Americans at 7:05 p.m. Friday. They are back at ShoWare Center on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. to play the Victoria Royals.<\/p>\n
Everett took a 1-0 lead at 5:57 of the first period on a power-play goal from Matt Fonteyne. Riley Sutter and Kevin Davis had the assists.<\/p>\n
The Tips made it a 2-0 lead at 14:46 of the first on a goal from Sutter. Sean Richards and Brian King had the assists.<\/p>\n
Seattle outshot Everett 18-8 in the first period.<\/p>\n
Rylan Toth played the first period and stopped six of eight shots. Matt Berlin replaced Toth in the second period.<\/p>\n
The T-Birds outshot Everett 9-8 in the second period.<\/p>\n
Orrin Centazzo scored an unassisted goal at 2:04 of the third period to give Everett a 3-0 lead.<\/p>\n
Seattle outshot Everett 10-8 in the third period and 37-24 in the game.<\/p>\n
Berlin made 15 saves on 16 shots in two periods of action.<\/p>\n
Everett goalie Carter Hart had 37 saves to get the shutout.<\/p>\n
