{"id":24918,"date":"2016-11-22T15:10:00","date_gmt":"2016-11-22T23:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/sports\/kentwood-cheerleader-earns-athlete-of-the-week-honors\/"},"modified":"2016-11-22T15:10:00","modified_gmt":"2016-11-22T23:10:00","slug":"kentwood-cheerleader-earns-athlete-of-the-week-honors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/sports\/kentwood-cheerleader-earns-athlete-of-the-week-honors\/","title":{"rendered":"Kentwood cheerleader earns Athlete of the Week honors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kentwood High senior cheerleader Alexia Thomas was named the CenturyLink High School Athlete of the Week.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;(She) was selected Athlete of the Week based on her dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership and athletic performance,&rdquo; according to an article on the Seahawks website earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas has a 3.75 GPA and is taking classes at Kentwood and Green River College.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from doing well in school, Thomas helped to organize a back to school drive that collected a number of school supplies and backpacks for an elementary school.
