Donald D. Whitener<\/p>\n
Donald D. Whitener, born on February 15, 1924 in Quincy, WA, passed away January 15, 2010 peace-fully surrounded by his loving family.Don has resided in Kent for 54 yrs., spending most of his time as an Elementary School Principal. He also was a charter and 43 yr. member of Rotary Club in Kent. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 yrs. Elsie; sons Phil and Doug (Deborah); daughter Carol (Greg) French; brother James; sisters Lee Dietsch and Patricia Malloy; 3 grandchildren Kevin French, Chelsea and Weston Whitener. Don is preceded in death by his sister Jean Packer in 2009. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, January 29, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Burial at Tahoma National Cemetery.
