{"id":2427,"date":"2012-08-15T11:17:36","date_gmt":"2012-08-15T18:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/scenic-hill-elementary-students-plan-fundraiser-for-kent-teacher-aug-16\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T17:20:39","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T00:20:39","slug":"scenic-hill-elementary-students-plan-fundraiser-for-kent-teacher-aug-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/scenic-hill-elementary-students-plan-fundraiser-for-kent-teacher-aug-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Scenic Hill Elementary students plan fundraiser for Kent teacher Aug. 16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Anyone who goes to the city of Kent summer concert Thursday evening, Aug. 16 at Lake Meridian Park might want to stop by a new concession stand.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Scenic Hill Elementary students will run a concession stand to raise funds for fifth-grade teacher <a title=\"stacy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/165522456.html\" target=\"_self\">Stacy Ankerfelt, who is recovering from serious injuries suffered <\/a>when a car struck her in July outside of her Auburn home.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Riley Lopes, who graduated in June from the school, helped organize the fundraiser to help Ankerfelt, 28, pay for medical expenses.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The stand will feature ice cream, water, pop and other items.
