A. Ken Beckwith1919 \u2013 2008<\/p>\n

Ken passed away June 15, 2008. He was pre-ceded in death by his wife, Marge. Ken was born in Kitscoty, Alberta on March 9, 1919. In the fall of 1951 he brought his family to the United States where he settled in Renton. There he built his home where he resided until his passing. Ken was a long time member of the Seattle business com-munity. Arriving in the Seattle area he took over the Flying A service station in the University Dis-trict (The site is now a Baskin & Robbins). After selling his service station he applied his talents to the wholesale heating and air conditioning busi-ness. In 1962 he and his best friendstarted C & B Sales. He left C & B Sales in 1977 and started Energy Controls and Equipment where he stayed until he retire in 1998. Ken is survived by his brother James C. Beckwith, his daughter Sue and her husband Mac Jahnke, his sons, Brian Kenneth and Bruce James, his grandson David Kenneth Jahnke, and his long time friend and companion, Pearl Laird.Keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral services. The family will host celebrations of his life in Renton and Canada. The memorial in Renton will be held July 19, 2008. Please call 425-255-8737 for more information.
