Arthur (Art) Christopher Kraft<\/p>\n
Art Kraft passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2014 in Seattle, Washington at Harborview Medical Center.<\/p>\n
Art was born to Dorothy and Oscar Kraft, one of eight children in Chatham Center, New York on September 13, 1932.<\/p>\n
Art served in the Korean War where he earned two bronze stars and was honorably discharged. After the war, he served in the Washington National Guard and the Army Reserve for many years where he received numerous honors and commendations. He retired from the Post Office in 1974 with 25 years of service.<\/p>\n
Art is survived by his wife Joan; two sons David (Susan) and Christopher; his siblings, Dorothy and George; three grandchildren Daniel (Stacy), Adam and Samantha; and one great grandchild Savannah.<\/p>\n
A private memorial celebrating his life will be held, at his request there will be no funeral just a simple graveside service at Tahoma National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to your local animal shelter in his name.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
