N. Elizabeth \u201cDolly\u201d Coonrod<\/p>\n
N. Elizabeth \u201cDolly\u201d Coonrod, 96, a longtime Kent resident, passed away on February 10, 2011 at Cashmere Convalescent Center. She met John H. Coonrod and only after three months of dating they were married on October 3, 1936. They spent their honeymoon in Seattle and never returned to Iowa. Her husband, John worked for Arden Farms and The Boeing Co., retiring in 1977. Dolly<\/p>\n
worked in the Bakery Department for Safeway stores for 17 years, retiring in 1977 from the Kent East Hill Safeway Store. They made their home in Kent until moving to the Entiat area four years ago. She had a special love for gardening and took pride in her rose<\/p>\n
gardens in Kent. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry & Pat Coonrod, Entiat; grandchildren, Bradley Anderson, Woodland, WA. Darin Anderson, Cooksville, TN. and Donn Coonrod, Covington, WA and a great grandson, Grant Coonrod, Covington, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, daughter, Jeanne Kane, grandson, Bret Anderson and sister, Harriett Ross. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 1:00pm at the home of her grandson and his wife, Donn and Andrea Coonrod, 20702 S.E. 291st, Covington, WA. For further information please contact the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.<\/p>\n
