Put the kids in the stroller and roll on over to Children\u2019s Home Society of Washington\u2019s Roll and Read event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Parents and children can walk, bike, pull a wagon or push a stroller through downtown Kent while enjoying various reading activities along the way. Cat in the Hat, Waldo and other literary characters will also be present.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Walks begin every 15 minutes at the center, 212 Fifth Ave. S., Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Sponsored by CHSW\u2019s Parent as Teachers, Parent-Child Home, Early Head Start and Head programs, Roll and Read promotes early reading skills and healthy families.
