{"id":23715,"date":"2009-04-17T14:12:33","date_gmt":"2009-04-17T21:12:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/k-ms-arino-alabe-chavez-tapped-for-rotary-honors\/"},"modified":"2009-04-17T14:12:33","modified_gmt":"2009-04-17T21:12:33","slug":"k-ms-arino-alabe-chavez-tapped-for-rotary-honors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/k-ms-arino-alabe-chavez-tapped-for-rotary-honors\/","title":{"rendered":"K-M\u2019s Arino, Alabe-Chavez tapped for Rotary honors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent-Meridian seniors Bessie Arino and Daniel Alabe-Chavez are the Kent Rotary Students of the Week, for their achievements in career and technical programs.<\/p>\n<p>Arino is the daughter of Moses Arino.<\/p>\n<p>Arino\u2019s achievements include managing the key club Web site along with her work in Japanese Club and Filipino Club.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating, Arino hopes to attend the University of Washington, where she plans to major in computer science or computer engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Alabe-Chavez is the son of Davey Tyau and Gina Alabe-Tyau of Kent.<\/p>\n<p>Alabe-Chavez\u2019s achievements includes working at a car dealership during the summer, where he has continually been a helping hand around the lot, offering assistance wherever and whenever needed. Alabe-Chavez also is active in the community.
