Scott Eansor had three goals to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Saskatchewan on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
The T-Birds finished 4-2-0-0 on a six-game road trip through the East Division.<\/p>\n
Goalie Matt Berlin, in his T-Birds debut, stopped 29 of 30 shots to get the win.<\/p>\n
Eansor opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal at 7:37 of the first period. Eansor converted a Nolan Volcan pass on a two-on-one to give the T-Birds the lead.<\/p>\n
Moose Jaw outshot Seattle 10-9 in the first period.<\/p>\n
The T-Birds had a five-minute power play to start the second period and Eansor converted at 2:20 to give the T-Birds a 2-0 lead. Ryan Gropp and Jarret Tyszka had the assists.<\/p>\n
Seattle (7-7-0-1) extended the lead to 3-0 at 7:32 of the second on Reece Harsch’s first career goal. Luke Ormsby and Matthew Wedman had the assists on the goal.<\/p>\n
The T-Birds outshot the Warriors 15-14 in the second period. Both teams had 24 shots on goal after two periods.<\/p>\n
Zack Andrusiak scored off a Wedman assist at 9:01 of the third period to make it a 4-0 Seattle lead.<\/p>\n
Moose Jaw got on the board when Brayden Watts scored at 12:07 of the thirds period. Chantz Petruic and Dmitri Zaitsev had the assists.<\/p>\n
Eansor completed the hat trick at 17:43 of the third. Harsch assisted on the goal.<\/p>\n
Moose Jaw outshot the T-Birds 6-5 in the third period and 30-29 in the game.<\/p>\n
Moose Jaw goalie Brody Wilms had 24 saves on 29 shots.<\/p>\n
