{"id":22595,"date":"2016-09-20T13:42:22","date_gmt":"2016-09-20T20:42:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/t-birds-trade-gilchrist-to-lethbridge\/"},"modified":"2016-11-07T13:30:23","modified_gmt":"2016-11-07T21:30:23","slug":"t-birds-trade-gilchrist-to-lethbridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/sports\/t-birds-trade-gilchrist-to-lethbridge\/","title":{"rendered":"T-Birds trade Gilchrist to Lethbridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>The Seattle Thunderbirds have traded goalie Ryan Gilchrist to the Lethbridge Hurricanes for a conditional pick in the 2017 Bantam Draft.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>&#8220;Ryan had a good camp this year but with the play of Carl Stankowski and the addition of Rylan Toth we wanted to give him a chance to play in the league,&#8221; said T-Birds general manager Russ Farwell . &#8220;We wish him good luck as he moves on to Lethbridge.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Gilchrist appeared in three preseason games this season and had 1-0-0-0 record with a .875 save percentage and a 3.51 goals against average.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The T-Birds signed Gilchrist on Feb. 20, 2015.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The T-Birds open the regular season in Portland against the Winterhawks at 7 p.m. Saturday. Their home opener is Saturday, Oct. 1, against the Portland Winterhawks at 7:05 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Single-game tickets are on sale.
