The Kent Downtown Partnership hosts the second annual HAWKtoberfest Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 24 in downtown Kent.

The show is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along West Meeker Street, between First and Fourth avenues.

The family-friendly event is a community celebration of Seattle’s beloved football team, complete with team-themed vehicles, kids’ activities including the Seattle Thunderbirds puck-and-shoot game, face painting and sidewalk chalk, a live DJ, and special guests including Wilson the Pony.

The event is free to the public. Car enthusiasts who want to show off their Hawk-themed car, truck or other vehicle can register their vehicle for $20. There will also be limited space available for vendors.

Proceeds raised from the event will support KDP in its work to sustain small businesses and revitalize historic downtown.

Contact Barbara Smith, KDP executive director, with questions, to register a vehicle, or to check on vendor booth availability. She can be reached at 253-813-6976 or via email at barbaras@kentdowntown.org.
