Kent\u2019s annual Fall Recycling Collection Event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the soon-to-be-renamed Hogan Park at Russell Road (Russell Road Park), 24400 Russell Road.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Residents should bring those items that are not easily recycled at the curb including appliances, toilets, propane tanks, batteries and small electronics and up to three file-sized boxes per vehicle of documents for shredding.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Concrete, rocks, asphalt and bricks should be placed on a tarp, plastic sheet or in buckets to speed up unloading. Tires and petroleum products will be collected as well. The V&G StyroRecycle truck will collect Styrofoam blocks and peanuts.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Computers and TVs will not be accepted. These can be recycled for free at E-Cycle Washington designated collection sites. For a list of locations, visit ecyclewashington.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The event is funded by grants from the state Department of Ecology, King County Solid Waste Division and the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
