Texas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has opened a restaurant in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dickey’s, 1428 W. Meeker St., Suite 102, is in a building at a small strip mall that previously housed a Thai restaurant.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In 1941, Travis Dickey opened the first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Dallas, according to the company’s website. There are more than 300 locations across the nation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Dickey’s serves beef brisket, pulled pork, ham, polish sausage, turkey breast and chicken, with an extensive array of home-style sides from jalape\u00f1o beans to macaroni and cheese. Buttery rolls are served with every meal along with complimentary ice cream and dill pickles. Kids eat free on Sundays.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
