He was captured this past Friday by Kent Police and was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n<p>Nelson was featured on &#8220;Washington\u2019s Most Wanted&#8221; Oct. 15 and 16. He was convicted of first-degree and second-degree assault for a 1994 stranger rape in downtown Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>According to court records, Nelson repeatedly hit the victim with his fist, a broken bottle and a rock, then raped the victim.<\/p>\n<p>Nelson served 15 years but did not participate in any sex offender treatment while incarcerated. Nelson also had a conviction for possession of stolen property in the state of Louisiana where he was extradited upon release for his 1994 rape conviction.<\/p>\n<p>He was released from the Louisiana prison on July 20, 2009 and put on a bus back to Seattle where he arrived on July 23, 2009. He was given specific reporting instructions and failed to register.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.q13fox.com\/mostwanted\">&#8220;Washington\u2019s Most Wanted&#8221;<\/a>, hosted by Q13 FOX News Anchor David Rose, airs Fridays at 9:30 p.m. on JOEtv (KZJO-TV, Channel 22, Cable 10) and Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. on Q13 FOX.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to a &#8220;Washington\u2019s Most Wanted&#8221; viewer tip, convicted rapist Darren Nelson is once again behind bars.
