The Kootenay Ice defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2 in overtime Friday afternoon at the Red Lion Hotels’ Preseason Tournament in Kennewick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The T-Birds, trialing 2-0, got on the board at 5:15 of the third period on a power-play goal from Nolan Volcan. Jared Hauf and Brandon Schuldhaus had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Nick Holowko tied the game 2-2 at 14:37 of the second. Luke Osterman and Schuldhaus were credited with the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Ice won the game at 3:01 overtime on a goal from Mario Grman. Vince Loschiavo and Connor Barley had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The T-Birds outshot the Ice 36-15 in the game. .<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Taz Burman started in net for the T-Birds and stopped 12 of 15 shots in the loss.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Declan Hobbs was in net for Kootenay and he made 34 saves on 36 shots.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The T-Birds play the Tri-City Americans at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in the tournament.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
