Pat Lowery, spokesman for the Kent Police Department, officers were\u00a0 called to the Lakes neighborhood for a report of an illegal discharge of a weapon in the area. Two officers arrived within minutes, but were initially unsuccessful in locating the source of the gunshots. Additional calls to 911 brought the officers to the Bayview Townhomes where they found a man with a gun.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Lowery stated in the release preliminary reports indicate when confronted, the man pointed the weapon at officers, at which time he was shot. There is no word on the condition of the man.
