The two-week old strike in the Kent school district may finally be over.<\/p>\n

Kent School District Superintendent Edward Lee Vargas said by phone tonight the District and Kent Education Association reached a contract agreement at about 7 p.m., which if ratified by the member will end the two-week teachers\u2019 strike.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of the agreement is we will not discuss the detail until the agreement has been present for ratification (to the members) at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow, \u201c Vargas said.<\/p>\n

The meeting will take place at Kentlake High School, the same place where the members voted to go on strike back on Aug. 26.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to congratulate the two negotiation teams for finding common ground that allows us to move forward. Now we can focus on the students,” Vargas added<\/p>\n
